Most companies selling car wash chemicals in Southern California are distributors. They buy finished product, put a label on it, and resell it. If the formula does not suit your water or your equipment, there is nothing they can do about it.
Golden West Corporation is a manufacturer. We formulate and blend in our own plant in Gardena, California, and have since 1990. When a product needs to change, we change it.
Custom formulation
If you are running an unusual water profile, a specific equipment setup, an uncommon soil load, or you need a product to hit a particular cost per car, we can build to it. Oscar, our founder, is a chemical engineer and formulates personally. Typical requests we handle:
- Adjusting a presoak for exceptionally hard or reclaimed water
- Reformulating for high-temperature operation in the inland valleys
- Building a concentrate that dilutes further to lower cost per vehicle
- Adjusting foam behavior, viscosity, color, or fragrance for presentation
- Surface-specific chemistry for aluminum, polished trim, or wrapped vehicles
Private label
We produce private label car wash and detailing chemicals for operators, distributors, and multi-site groups who want product under their own brand. You get manufacturer pricing, consistent batches from a single plant, and control over your own label — without building a chemical plant.
Made in America, and made accountable
Everything we produce is manufactured in the United States at our Gardena facility. Nothing is drop-shipped or repackaged from overseas. Golden West has been family owned since 1990, and the reason accounts stay with us for decades is simple: we tell customers the truth about what they need, including when the cheaper option is the right one.
